Global ATS is offering an exceptional opportunity to launch your career as an Air Traffic Controller (ATCO). We are seeking four dedicated individuals to join our expanding team of ATC Simulator Operators, where you will gain essential skills and knowledge to build a strong foundation for your journey to becoming an ATCO.
About the role
An ATC Simulator Operator, also known as a Pseudo Pilot, plays a vital role in the training of Air Traffic Controllers. Working within advanced air traffic control simulators, the operator creates realistic air traffic scenarios by managing PC-based simulation systems. This involves accurately inputting data, following instructions from trainee controllers, and ensuring smooth, professional simulation sessions.
Operators work closely with instructors and trainees to replicate real-world air traffic environments, helping future controllers develop essential skills in communication, decision-making, and situational awareness. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to adapt to changing situations and a solid understanding of technology.
The successful applicants will join our Simulator Operations team from Spring 2026 for a four-year term. After two years, we will sponsor your participation in the FEAST assessment day. Upon passing your FEAST assessment (and subject to satisfactory performance during your training), you will be enrolled in the first available ATCO training course following completion of your four-year service commitment. Funding is available towards the cost of your medical.
Your ATCO training - Basic and Tower Approach courses - will be sponsored by Global ATS, representing a total training investment of approximately £40,000.
