The role: We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Transport department based out of our site in Shildon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving a 26 tonne skip truck
  • Liaising with customers to arrange load collections
  • Knowledge of driver’s hours and working time directive regulations
  • Use of Tachographs, digital, drivers hours and working time
  • Customer focussed with a professional approach to the job
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to overcome problems
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and by yourself
  • Complete daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports as directed by the transport team
  • Adhere to all relevant driving laws and regulations
  • Always provide good customer service (via telephone or face to face)
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements as directed
  • Always maintain tidiness and cleanliness as directed
  • Any other duties as directed by the transport team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 Months holding the licence category of C or CE
  • Experience of Skip operation and driving preferred, however training will be provided
  • Are an experienced and professional driver
