The role: We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Transport department based out of our site in Shildon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a 26 tonne skip truck
- Liaising with customers to arrange load collections
- Knowledge of driver’s hours and working time directive regulations
- Use of Tachographs, digital, drivers hours and working time
- Customer focussed with a professional approach to the job
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to overcome problems
- The ability to work both as part of a team and by yourself
- Complete daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports as directed by the transport team
- Adhere to all relevant driving laws and regulations
- Always provide good customer service (via telephone or face to face)
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements as directed
- Always maintain tidiness and cleanliness as directed
- Any other duties as directed by the transport team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 Months holding the licence category of C or CE
- Experience of Skip operation and driving preferred, however training will be provided
- Are an experienced and professional driver
