Location: Preston

Hours: 48 per week between 7:30pm-7:30am

Shifts: Monday – Thursday (12 hour shifts)

The Role: We are looking to recruit an experienced Recycling Operative to join our established team based at our Recycling Park in Preston.

What you will be doing:

  • To sort and pick through recyclable materials
  • To carry out duties and to work on all the production lines as required
  • Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
  • To assist in other areas of the business such as:
    • Undertaking the depollution of End‑of‑Life Vehicles (ELVs)
    • Removing of catalytic converters from vehicles
    • Removing tyres
    • Removal of batteries
    • Manual work with heavy lifting involved
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety policy and rules
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy

Who you are:

  • Experience on a picking line
  • Comfortable working in different aspects of a scrap yard
  • Enjoys working outdoors in a busy environment
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Health & Safety conscious
