The role: We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to support the operations at our Preston site.
What you will be doing:
- Operating plant machinery including 360 scrap handler, loading shovel, skid steer, FLT, shredder
- Undertaking the depollution of End‑of‑Life Vehicles (ELVs) – removing and storing parts safely (full training provided)
- Working on the picking line
- General yard work
- Responsible for ensuring the safe loading of containers on site
- Ensuring the safe movement and manoeuvring of vehicles on and off the container tilter loader
- Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
