A leading, private equity-backed UK group is seeking a Tax Manager to join its high-performing Group Finance function. Following a significant take-private transaction, the business is undergoing rapid expansion across the UK and Europe, combining digital innovation with a strong physical market presence. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to step into a commercially focused, fast-paced environment with clear progression toward senior leadership.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will play a key role across compliance, reporting, and strategic project work, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing UK corporation tax compliance and supporting outsourced processes
- Supporting tax reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP
- Assisting with a range of tax projects (including transfer pricing, R&D, and international initiatives)
- Contributing to governance frameworks (SAO, CCO, tax strategy)
- Supporting wider tax matters including VAT, employment taxes, and withholding tax
- Monitoring tax developments and advising on business impact
About You
- Strong UK tax technical knowledge, with some exposure to international matters advantageous
- Commercial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
