Global Accounting Network is partnering with a leading organisation in the sports industry to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager. This opportunity has arisen due to the current post-holder leaving at the end of the month, and we are seeking an immediate replacement to join on an initial 6-month contract.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the finance team responsible for the organisation’s commercial and revenue-generating divisions, taking full ownership of the P&Ls for these areas. Acting as a strategic finance partner, you will play a key role in maximising commercial revenue streams, driving financial efficiency, and influencing decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the finance team managing commercial and revenue-related business units.
- Take full financial ownership of departmental P&Ls, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and transparency of reported results.
- Provide strategic financial insight to Executive Leadership, supporting long-range planning, capital investment decisions, and profit generation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with operational budget holders, challenging assumptions, strengthening financial discipline, and improving overall business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering closely with non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at senior leadership level.
- Experience within the sports industry is beneficial but not essential.
