We are supporting a client in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their growing finance team based in White City, West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Accounts Payable experience who is looking to continue developing their finance career within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role would be particularly well suited to someone who is currently studying towards their AAT qualification.
Salary: Up to £30,000
The successful candidate will support the Finance Operations Manager, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, while also gaining exposure to wider transactional finance responsibilities, including Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, credit control, and month-end activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raising purchase orders and matching invoices to goods received
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving supplier queries
- Supporting payment runs and month-end Accounts Payable activities
- Raising sales orders and invoices
- Posting receipts and allocating cash
- Assisting with credit control and customer account queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or transactional finance role
- Ideally be studying towards AAT (or looking to begin their AAT qualification)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work
