Senior Finance Manager

Global Accounting Network is partnering with a leading organisation in the sports industry to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager. This opportunity has arisen due to the current post-holder leaving at the end of the month, and we are seeking an immediate replacement to join on an initial 6-month contract.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the finance team responsible for the organisation’s commercial and revenue-generating divisions, taking full ownership of the P&Ls for these areas. Acting as a strategic finance partner, you will play a key role in maximising commercial revenue streams, driving financial efficiency, and influencing decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the finance team managing commercial and revenue-related business units.
• Take full financial ownership of departmental P&Ls, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and transparency of reported results.
• Provide strategic financial insight to Executive Leadership, supporting long‑range planning, capital investment decisions, and profit generation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with operational budget holders, challenging assumptions, strengthening financial discipline, and improving overall business performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.

About You

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering closely with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at senior leadership level.
• Experience within the sports industry is beneficial but not essential.
