For Companies Global Accounting Network is partnering with a leading organisation in the sports industry to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager . This opportunity has arisen due to the current post-holder leaving at the end of the month, and we are seeking an immediate replacement to join on an initial 6-month contract .
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the finance team responsible for the organisation\’s commercial and revenue-generating divisions, taking full ownership of the P&Ls for these areas. Acting as a strategic finance partner, you will play a key role in maximising commercial revenue streams, driving financial efficiency, and influencing decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the finance team managing commercial and revenue-related business units.
Take full financial ownership of departmental P&Ls, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and transparency of reported results.
Provide strategic financial insight to Executive Leadership, supporting long‐range planning, capital investment decisions, and profit generation initiatives.
Collaborate closely with operational budget holders, challenging assumptions, strengthening financial discipline, and improving overall business performance.
Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
About You
Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering closely with non‐finance stakeholders.
Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at senior leadership level.
Experience within the sports industry is beneficial but not essential.
