About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Media P&L, including revenues and expenses.
  • Lead management submissions for media, including business planning, long-range planning, and quarterly forecasting.
  • Act as the key finance business partner for media teams across the UK, US, Europe, and South America.
  • Manage and track progress towards revenue targets, providing insightful reporting to commercial teams.
  • Oversee and track expense budgets, ensuring spend aligns with contracted terms.
  • Review and provide financial sign-off on contracts, understanding the P&L impact of commercial terms.
  • Support processes to accurately account for revenue and review purchase orders and invoices.
  • Assist in financial reporting for quarterly close, analysing P&L variances and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across key risk areas.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1-2+ years of commercial finance experience.
  • Experience working across international businesses in a multi-currency environment.
  • Proven ability to set and manage budgets, forecast, and track real-time updates.
  • Relevant experience in TV, digital media, or sports business is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to use complex data to create clear storylines and actionable insights.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience using forecasting tools and ERP systems.
