We are delighted to be supporting a private equity-backed boutique law firm in the appointment of a Revenue Controller to join their growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional with a strong background in the legal sector and previous experience working within an SRA-regulated environment. The Revenue Controller will be responsible for overseeing the firm's billing, credit control, and work in progress (WIP) processes, ensuring the efficient management of revenue across the business.
Responsibilities
- Managing the firm's billing processes across approximately 100 clients per month
- Overseeing credit control and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding fees
- Monitoring and managing work in progress (WIP)
- Working closely with fee earners and internal stakeholders to resolve billing and client account queries
- Ensuring processes are carried out in line with relevant SRA regulations and requirements
- Supporting the wider finance function with accurate and timely financial information
- Identifying opportunities to improve billing, WIP, and credit control processes
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a law firm or legal services environment
- Strong experience working under SRA regulations
- Proven experience across billing, credit control, and WIP management
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- The ability to manage a high volume of billing activity accurately and efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of internal stakeholders
