We\'re working with a highly regarded independent wealth management firm in London that is looking to hire a Paraplanner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong tax background who is looking to transition into financial planning, with a clear long-term pathway to becoming a Financial Adviser.
This role would particularly suit someone who is newly or recently qualified, or part-qualified in tax, who is keen to apply their technical expertise in a client-focused environment.
The Role
- Support Financial Advisers with holistic financial planning and wealth management advice.
- Prepare suitability reports and recommendation documents.
- Conduct financial research across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
- Assist with cash flow modelling and financial planning analysis.
- Liaise with clients and providers to obtain information and progress cases.
- Stay up to date with UK tax legislation and financial planning regulations.
- Build the technical knowledge and client-facing skills required to progress into an advisory position.
About You
- Part-qualified or newly qualified in tax (ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and/or corporate tax.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
- Interested in moving into financial planning and wealth management.
- Strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
Ideal Background
We\'re particularly interested in candidates currently working within the tax teams of leading professional services or accountancy firms.
Experience within specialist tax boutiques or private client tax teams will also be considered.
