We are seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to support the carve-out and establishment of a high-growth software business. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the business partnering, financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision support within a newly independent environment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the finance function, implement robust processes and governance, and contribute directly to the organisation's long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial separation from the parent company, establishing standalone processes, controls, and governance.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, including KPI development (ARR, margins, cash).
  • Deliver insightful analysis, scenario modelling, and reporting to support executive decision-making.
  • Partner with controllership to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements, system optimisation, and data quality.
  • Build and develop a high-performing commercial finance team.
  • Looking at pricing strategy and contracts.
Candidate Profile:
  • Big 4 or Top 10 - ACA, CIMA or CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in commercial finance within a sizeable business.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA.
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Prior involvement in carve-outs, transformations, or integrations preferred.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments advantageous.
