Global Accounting Network is exclusively partnering with an international energy client looking for an interim finance business partner for 6 months initially. It's an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a company undergoing significant transformation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives. Your role will involve providing strategic financial insights, leading a junior team member, and presenting to the C-suite. This position is ideal for a self‐motivated finance professional with a strong track record in partnering with the business.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with budget holders to manage and control operating expenditure
- Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis activities
- Provide clear financial reporting and performance insights to stakeholders
- Identify cost‐saving opportunities and support efficiency initiatives
- Prepare and present PowerPoint slide decks to C-suite for the OPEX working group
- Challenge spending decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Support month‐end close activities and maintain strong financial controls
- Develop dashboards from scratch and manipulate large data sets
- Contribute to business cases, investment decisions, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Fully qualified accountant with post‐qualified industry experience
- Previous focus on OPEX
- Proven FP&A track record
- Strong Excel, Power BI and Power Query capability, ability to build dashboards from scratch (not just maintain)
