Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Head of Finance will manage a team of two Finance Assistants and have full ownership of the finance function. Skills/experience required:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in a finance/accounting environment, either in industry or practice.
- Proven ability to produce management accounts and lead financial processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in managing large volumes of data.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across all areas of the business.
- Experience with systems such as Sage and Excel.
- Proactive approach to driving improvements and enhancing efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of financial accounting, controls, and compliance.
- Review and improve finance processes to enhance efficiency and automation.
- Provide clear and timely financial insights to department heads and budget holders.
- Own the management account process and reporting cycles.
- Engage in both strategic financial planning and day-to-day transactional finance.
- Collaborate with cricket, academy, commercial, operational, and events teams.
- Act as a liaison for auditors and external stakeholders.
- Work with the executive team to ensure the smooth running of the Finance and Payroll Department.
- Foster a strong internal finance team with a positive working culture.
