We are recruiting for a high growth start up brand that has reached nearly 70 million in turnover, looking for a Finance Director. This is a retail business with an online focus and stores. The role will pay £125,000-135,000 + bonus + equity and reports to the COO, who currently also acts as CFO. There is a potential route in time to becoming the Group CFO. This is an ideal role for someone to manage a team of 15, covering FP&A, treasury, tax, operations, financial accounting, and business partnering. You will be involved in projects including systems and business intelligence tool upgrades. The business has raised significant finance and is looking to grow through M&A and organic progression. This is an exciting brand with many new products being developed. The business operates with 2 days in the office in central London and the rest from home.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 15, covering FP&A, treasury, tax, operations, financial accounting, and business partnering.
- Lead or participate in projects including systems and business intelligence tool upgrades.
- Support growth through M&A and organic progression.
- Collaborate with the COO/CFO and other senior stakeholders to drive financial strategy and reporting.
- Prepare and present financial analyses to inform business decisions in a consumer-driven, retail/FMCG-like environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in a consumer-driven business in FMCG, Retail, or similar industry.
- Track record of leading finance teams and delivering on strategic finance initiatives.
- Willingness to work in a role that combines operational finance with strategic leadership; potential route to Group CFO.
Location: London area with a mix of office (central London) and remote work.
Salary and Benefits
Base pay range: £125,000-£135,000 + bonus + equity. Location: London area. Office: 2 days in central London; remaining days from home.
