A well established, international professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to lead its UK and EMEA AP function. This is a hands on leadership role, supporting a complex, high volume finance operation during a period of change and process improvement.
The Role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the end to end Accounts Payable function, overseeing day to day operations, people management and controls across the P2P process. You will also work closely with global stakeholders, including US based finance and treasury teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full management of the UK and EMEA Accounts Payable function
- Leading and supporting a small AP team, ensuring service levels and deadlines are met
- Maintaining and strengthening financial controls across the P2P process
- Reviewing existing processes, identifying gaps and implementing improvements
- Supporting payments, verification processes and banking activity
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external AP queries
- Developing and improving AP reporting and key metrics
- Supporting cashflow forecasting initiatives in collaboration with global teams
- Communicating clearly with stakeholders where issues or errors arise
About You
This role will suit a confident AP leader who is comfortable operating in a professional services or complex, multi entity environment. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable function end to end
- Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid knowledge of UK and European VAT
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
- A proactive, detail focused and solutions driven approach
- Experience working with ERP systems, 3E experience is advantageous
