Global Accounting Network are partnering exclusively with a fast‑growth, PE‑backed international services group with operations across the UK, Europe, and North America. The group is seeking an interim Finance Manager to lead the accounting function. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a professional, fast‑paced environment, offering the opportunity to further professionalise the finance function, develop a high‑performing team, and play a key role in strengthening financial controls, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Role Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee all accounting activities for the UK and European entities, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting under UK GAAP. You will manage the close process, support statutory compliance, lead revenue recognition, optimise cashflow, and partner closely with Group Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting activities for the UK & EU division in line with UK GAAP and internal controls
  • Lead the month‑end close process and deliver accurate reporting to Group Finance
  • Review statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries
  • Prepare monthly accounts for the largest UK entity and review submissions for additional UK and EU entities
  • Own Balance Sheet reconciliations across the region
  • Coordinate external audit processes and prepare audit schedules
  • Lead UK & Europe revenue recognition
  • Drive cashflow optimisation through effective treasury and AP management
  • Manage, coach, and develop the UK finance team
  • Act as a key stakeholder in ERP optimisation (NetSuite) and AP automation tools
  • Provide technical accounting guidance aligned with group‑wide policies
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and support Group Finance on special projects

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Audit experience preferred from a top scheme such as Big 4
  • Experience in a multi‑site environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Experience within SME, or PE‑backed environments beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
