Global Accounting Network are retained by one of the worlds greatest sports brands to find a new Finance Manager for their London HQ. The role is newly created due to growth and is commercially focused with a true international feel, covering territories all over the world. The position will suit a qualified accountant (circa 2 years PQE as a guide) with post qualified commercial finance experience industry.

The Role:

  • Ownership of game P&L’s.
  • Lead management accounting submissions for games, including business planning, long range planning and quarterly forecasting; presenting to senior management.
  • Key finance business partner for all operational teams involved in delivering the games (Events, Operations, Ticketing).
  • Review and provide finance sign off on contracts, understanding P&L impact of commercial terms.
  • Support team evaluating strategic review of new markets for international games.
  • Support financial reporting quarterly close for games; analyse P&L variances and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Work closely with Controller’s Group, Club Finance, Tax, Internal Audit and Legal.
  • Maintaining company policies and procedures across key risk areas.

The Person:

  • Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE.
  • Experience of working across international businesses in a multi-currency environment.
  • Experience setting & managing budgets, forecasting and tracking real-time updates.
  • Confident communicator: ability to instruct and direct employees across all functions and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously.
  • Analytical, organised, self-motivated with an eye for detail.
