Global Accounting Network are retained by one of the worlds greatest sports brands to find a new Finance Manager for their London HQ. The role is newly created due to growth and is commercially focused with a true international feel, covering territories all over the world. The position will suit a qualified accountant (circa 2 years PQE as a guide) with post qualified commercial finance experience industry.
The Role:
- Ownership of game P&L’s.
- Lead management accounting submissions for games, including business planning, long range planning and quarterly forecasting; presenting to senior management.
- Key finance business partner for all operational teams involved in delivering the games (Events, Operations, Ticketing).
- Review and provide finance sign off on contracts, understanding P&L impact of commercial terms.
- Support team evaluating strategic review of new markets for international games.
- Support financial reporting quarterly close for games; analyse P&L variances and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work closely with Controller’s Group, Club Finance, Tax, Internal Audit and Legal.
- Maintaining company policies and procedures across key risk areas.
The Person:
- Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE.
- Experience of working across international businesses in a multi-currency environment.
- Experience setting & managing budgets, forecasting and tracking real-time updates.
- Confident communicator: ability to instruct and direct employees across all functions and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously.
- Analytical, organised, self-motivated with an eye for detail.
