Required Skills:
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
- Knowledge of cash flow management and accounting principles
- Experience with invoicing, payments, accruals, and prepayments
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, assisting with forecasting and reporting trends and variances
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, reconcile balance sheets and profit & loss statements
- Create, issue, and ensure accurate recording of invoices in line with contractual agreements
- Process outgoing payments and reconcile accounts payable to vendor statements
- Handle monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring precise financial recording
- Support general administrative tasks within the finance department as needed
Additional Skills:
- Ability to build strong relationships with operational stakeholders
- Resilience and emotional intelligence in a dynamic environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting
