Role Overview

As Operations Director, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, maintaining exceptional quality and client satisfaction. This leadership role focuses on strategy, operational efficiency, and enabling technical teams to excel in their specialist areas. The position demands a dynamic leader to inspire teams, foster innovation, and align operations with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Insulation: You are the bridge between the directors and the wider team, providing leadership, guidance, and insulation to allow the directors to focus on strategy while you drive operations forward.
• Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement operational strategies to support growth and maintain the company’s reputation.
• Team Management : Lead, mentor, and support engineering and project teams, fostering accountability and high performance, aligning all the teams and ensuring smooth project delivery.
• Project Oversight : Ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery of high-value projects, upholding top standards.
• Operational Excellence : Drive continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
• Client Engagement : Build strong client relationships, acting as a senior contact to ensure satisfaction and resolve escalations.
• Quality Assurance : Enforce high standards of workmanship, ensuring teams deliver superior results.
• Resource Management : Optimise resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Compliance and Safety : Ensure operations comply with regulations and safety standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in high-end Residential AV systems, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects exceeding £100k on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of Crestron, Savant, Control4, Lutron, KNX, and similar systems.
• Exceptional team leadership skills with a history of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to establish long-term relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of project workflows, deliverables, and technical specifications.
• A high level of attention to detail and the ability to instil the same in your teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A full driving licence is essential.
