GLL is recruiting Trainee Swimming Teachers to join our swimming school in West Oxfordshire. Qualified to STA Level 2 in Teaching Swimming, the role offers full funding for the course and a clear career pathway in teaching swimming to all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups across all age groups and skill levels.
- Support learners to achieve their potential while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Assist with lesson administration, including attendance, sign‑ins and reporting.
- Work under the guidance of a Lead Teacher and receive mentoring throughout the role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Competent swimmer.
- Good verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
- Motivational, supportive and capable of giving constructive feedback.
- Approachable, patient, and imaginative.
- Willingness to commit to a 5‑day intensive STA Level 2 training course.
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
- Eligibility for a full or part‑time permanent contract with flexible hours available.
