Role Description

This is a flexible, role based in West Drayton for a committed Swimming Teacher. The Swimming Teacher will deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons to individuals and groups of various ages and skill levels. Responsibilities include planning and delivering swim instruction, monitoring participants’ progress, ensuring pool safety, and maintaining a welcoming and supportive learning environment. Additionally, the role involves providing feedback to students, engaging with families, and promoting water safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient swimming skills and knowledge of swim instruction techniques and methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse age groups and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Experience in planning and organizing structured lessons tailored to varying skill levels.
• Relevant certifications such as STA or SE Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification or similar credentials.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and a passion for teaching swimming and promoting fitness.
• Previous experience in working within a leisure, education, or coaching setting is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
