GLL is looking for Watersports Instructors based at Herts Young Mariners Base in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Herts Young Mariners Base is a well‑established watersports and outdoor education centre, providing a wide range of sailing, paddlesports and land‑based activities for children, young people and adults. As a recognised training centre, we offer courses, group sessions and recreational activities throughout the year, and you'll join the Watersports Team in delivering these exciting programmes.
Responsibilities
- As a National Governing Body (NGB) Qualified Instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering high‑quality watersports sessions, setting up and packing away equipment at the start and end of each day, and ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all participants.
- You'll work closely with a team of instructors and activity staff, so a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.
Qualifications
- RYA Dinghy Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- Paddle UK Paddlesports Instructor (or higher)
- Other relevant watersports instructional qualifications
There may also be opportunities for candidates with relevant experience to gain qualifications through the centre.
