GLL is looking for an Assistant Manager to work at Windermere Outdoor Centre, Cumbria. If you have the skills and ambition to join us as an Assistant Manager there’s never been a more exciting time to join us. Windermere Outdoor Centre is a purpose-built outdoor centre. We provide an exciting range of activities including dinghy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking, powerboating, and open water swimming. We are looking for you to join our team, where you’ll enjoy making a difference to every person who walks through our centre.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver a well-structured Watersports programme focusing on progression and development.
- Provide high-quality coaching sessions.
- Improve the level of coaching and increase the numbers on the programme.
- Be aware of pupils’ status, nature, and needs.
- Maintain a positive image of the Centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional service.
- Set up equipment.
- Deliver first-class customer service.
- Deal with customer queries.
- Support with Open Water Events.
What You Need
- A can-do attitude.
- A real focus on customer service.
- Passion and personality.
- Knowledge of health and safety.
- Be a great team player.
- Hold qualifications in any of these areas: RYA Dinghy Instructor, Windsurfing Instructor, Powerboat Instructor.
- A First Aid qualification (possible in house validation).
- Experience of working/coaching in a community setting.
