GLL (Better) is seeking a dedicated Admin Support Officer to join the team at Vista Field Childrenâs Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the services we provide to local children and families within a busy, welcoming community setting.
This role is more than administration as reception duties play a huge role in your daily work life. You will work alongside a committed staff team and professional health partners, helping to deliver high-quality services for families with children under five in a supportive, interactive learning environment.
Location: Vista Field Childrenâs Centre, SE9 5SD
Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday, 9.00amâ5.00pm)
Some of what youâll do:
- Manage the reception service and reception area, providing a professional, friendly and welcoming front-of-house service to all visitors.
- Accurately record and maintain family data, ensuring registrations are completed correctly on the family database.
- Carry out a wide range of administrative duties to ensure the service operates efficiently, accurately and professionally in a busy environment.
- Record income, including cash and card payments, in line with procedures.
- Maintain health and safety within the reception area, ensuring spaces are tidy, resources are well stocked, meetings/rooms are set up appropriately, and display boards are up to date.
- Act as Fire Marshal and support general health and safety responsibilities.
What youâll need:
- A minimum of three yearsâ experience in an administrative and reception role within a demanding environment.
- A positive, proactive âcan-doâ attitude with a helpful and flexible approach.
- Be professional, customer friendly, patient and invested in our service.
- The ability to adapt to the needs of the service and work effectively as part of a team.
- High levels of honesty, reliability and professionalism.
- A strong team player who contributes ideas and leads by example.
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
