We are looking to expand our team of hardworking casual Cleaning Assistants, working from Leatherhead Leisure Centre in Mole Valley.

You’ll be enthusiastic and hard-working with a real attention to detail as you’ll assist the cleaning supervisor with the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the venue, including our auditorium, backstage and other public areas. The Sands Centre is an extremely busy entertainment venue, with high footfall, so you’ll need to thrive in this setting and take pride in making sure areas are clean and tidy for our artists and customers alike. Adhering to Health and Safety requirements and regulations is crucial, so you’ll need to be hard working and conscientious to carry out all duties to meet our high standards.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of cleaning in a busy working environment with good customer care skills and knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). If you don’t yet have it, we’ll provide full training on how to use appropriate machinery and chemicals.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the cleaning supervisor in making sure that all areas of the venue are clean and presentable for visiting productions and our audiences after each show.
  • Ensure exceptional standards are maintained.
  • Work towards the common goal of providing arts and culture as an enrichment activity to customers, improving their mental health and well-being.
  • Undertake any other duties as deemed and directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.

As a leader within the leisure industry, we can also offer scope to progress your career, and job variety like nowhere else.

What you need:

  • A willingness to diversify in the role as the job develops taking on new tasks and seeking out potential new areas of work.
  • An interest in events at The Sands Centre and in the wider cultural community of the city.
  • The ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of the business at peak flow times: early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

  • 25% off Buy a Gift.
  • 20% off GLL spa experience treatments and associated products.
  • Ride to work scheme.
  • Free eye tests and discounted glasses.
