Role Description
The Volunteer Radio Presenter is an on-site role based in Chatham.
In this position, the presenter will host live shows, introduce music anthems, and engage listeners with thoughtful commentary and interactive segments.
Responsibilities include preparing show rundowns, researching topics, selecting music that fits the station’s unique format, and adhering to broadcasting guidelines.
The presenter will collaborate with the Glitter Beam team to develop new show ideas, record and edit content where needed, and contribute to the station’s inclusive and distinctive programming.
The role also involves building listener engagement through social media mentions, on-air interaction, and participation in station events.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess passion for Music, with an understanding of anthems and non-mainstream playlists.
- Candidates should demonstrate clear verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to different show formats.
- Candidates should be willing to learn broadcasting laws and regulations, follow station policies, and uphold high ethical and editorial standards.
