Cabling Engineer

But to achieve our mission, we need your help. We\’re actively recruiting for Cabling Engineer to deliver fibre cabling works across the UK, from small-scale installations to large fibre city projects and customer premises, both overhead and underground. Your passion for field-based fibre cabling and can-do attitude will be your most important attribute, but the following experience will also help:
- Experience conducting surveys in external PIA networks and internal customer premises.
- Qualified to complete works within the PIA network, including test, rod & rope, and fibre optic cabling.
- Skilled in completing internal cabling works and documentation such as A55s and as-builts.
- Fibre optic splicing experience, capabilities and relevant accreditations (e.g., SA001, SA002, NRSWA).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Location: Remote with site visits across the UK
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Your role as a Cabling Engineer

A typical day might include:
- Delivering internal and external cabling work packages in PIA and private networks.
- Conducting surveys and interpreting Openreach duct and pole maps.
- Liaising with customers and contractors on-site to ensure smooth delivery.
- Completing documentation and supporting the Team Lead and Project Manager.
- Performing small-scale fibre splicing and mentoring where appropriate.
