GLG is seeking a supportive, collaborative, and tenacious individual to join our Corporate Technology clients. The Business Development Associate (BDA) will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities within key prospect and/or newly established logos, regularly assisting with presenting our capabilities to clients, using our CRM to track and map client accounts, and working in collaboration with the Business Development Manager to sell new GLG subscriptions.
Responsibilities
- Research target accounts and contacts to identify key decision‐makers and their specific jobs to be done/pain points.
- Conduct personalized outreach via email, cold calling, and LinkedIn to prospects at key new logos.
- Engage prospects in conversations to understand their business challenges, needs, budget, authority, and timeline.
- Articulate GLG's value proposition clearly and concisely, focusing on how it solves the prospect's problem.
- Maintain daily/weekly activity targets.
Key Performance Metrics
- Metrics include total outreach, connected outreach, establishing relationships with contacts at client firms, client contract value, increase in users of GLG's services at subscriptions sold, and adoption of new products and systems.
- Success is measured in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1–2 years of demonstrated success selling information services and solutions via phone, email, and consultative selling.
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with key decision‐makers in prospect firms.
- Strong independent work ethic; self‐motivated.
- Strong passion for persuasion, especially around complicated and intellectually challenging issues.
- Superior verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand people.
