GLG Vets are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established and supportive veterinary practice in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This position provides an excellent work-life balance, with a competitive benefits package and a thriving team environment.
Location: Wantage, Oxfordshire
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, Monday to Friday) with 1 in 6 full weekends also required.
You will work as part of a dynamic team, which includes 5 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 2 part-time Client Care Assistants. The role will involve general nursing duties, working closely with both the veterinary team and clients to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- General veterinary nursing duties (including anaesthesia, monitoring, and patient recovery)
- Assisting with consultations and surgeries
- Providing excellent client care and support
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- Assisting in the preparation and cleanliness of the practice
- Taking an active role in the clinic’s clinical and educational development

Requirements:
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Proven ability to work well in a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for client care
- Experience in a similar veterinary nursing role is desirable, but not essential
