Veterinary Surgeon in Sudbury

Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Sudbury, Suffolk

Working Hours: Our vets usually work Monday to Friday 9am until 7pm (with scheduled breaks) when the out of hours team takes over. The full-time rota is 40 hours over 4 or 5 days however we are happy to accept both part- & full-time candidates for this role. There are no out of hours duties associated with this role however there is 1:3 weekends.

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE plus up to £10,000 Welcome Bonus and up to £10,000 Relocation Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
• Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
