We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Reading, Berkshire. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Working Hours: 40 hours over 4 or 5 days per week with early shifts from 8:00am – 4:30pm and late shifts from 11:00am – 7:30pm. It also involves 1:4 Saturday mornings and there is no OOH.
Salary: Up to £33,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
