We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Aberlour, Moray. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
We are looking for farm Veterinary Surgeons who are confident in farm emergencies to work and continue to develop our service. You will gain significant exposure to surgical obstetrics and this is a great opportunity for those surgically minded individuals. Developing relationships with clients and the local veterinary teams is essential, as is the ability to problem solve and work on your own. You will be on-call from the comfort of your own home and attending emergencies as and when needed. You will receive the perfect blend of pace with a higher number of calls during spring but quiet spells during the summer months allowing you to really maximise your downtime. Keith is the central point of the geographical area covered.
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
