Registered Veterinary Nurse Small Animal Practice, Kensington. This role plays a crucial role as the sole RVN in practice, working alongside three vets, a dedicated reception team and supported by a Practice Manager.
There are lots of opportunities for nurse consults and they will support you with training and internal CPD to build confidence and develop your consulting skills. They also have a bespoke nutritional ambassador programme!
To support your work-life balance, this role works to a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends. You will have a set day off each week, providing continuity to make plans and enjoy your extra free time!
To help your clinical passions flourish, they have created clinical communities where vets and nurses with shared interests can connect and collaborate on a regular basis! They have everything needed to provide exceptional care with two large vet consult rooms and a dedicated nursing consult, nice theatre with lots of natural light, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter and Bair Hugger. They are also not far from a 24-Hour Hospital where you have access to CT Imaging, MRI and out of hour care.

Role Accountabilities:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
