GLG Vets are pleased to partner with a well‑established veterinary practice in Northwest London to recruit an experienced and dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a supportive and friendly team in a practice committed to providing high‑quality care to pets and their owners.

Location: Northwest London

Salary: Up to £36,000 per year

Hours: Flexible – either a 4‑day or 5‑day week available with 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am – 5pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the nursing team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Support veterinarians in all aspects of animal care and surgery.
  • Assist with training and development of junior staff and student nurses.
  • Monitor patient recovery and assist in post‑operative care.
  • Oversee the management of clinical supplies and stock.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, providing them with excellent customer service and support.

Key Requirements:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with relevant qualifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Competitive salary up to £36,000 per year. VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid. Flexible working hours (either 4 or 5‑day week).
