GLG Vets is excited to present an opportunity for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established veterinary practice in West London for maternity cover. This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week over 5 days, with a 1:6 weekend rota.

As the Head RVN, you will play a key leadership role, managing a team of veterinary nurses and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. You will also ensure the highest standard of patient care, while providing mentorship and support to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the nursing team in providing excellent patient care.
  • Manage day-to-day clinical and administrative duties.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and student nurses.
  • Assist with surgeries, anesthesia, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensure the practice complies with RCVS standards and regulations.
  • Maintain stock control and oversee the ordering of medical supplies.
  • Provide client education and guidance on pet care.
About You:

You will be a fully qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for leadership and team development. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team. Experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but not essential.
