GLG Vets are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious veterinary practice based in the heart of Westminster, Greater London.

Location: City of Westminster, Greater London

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Working Hours: 4-day week with 1:4 weekends

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a dynamic and passionate team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to lead and support a team of RVNs and VCAs while overseeing the daily running of the practice floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the veterinary floor, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that enhance team performance and overall clinic success.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team of RVNs and VCAs to ensure high standards of care and professional development.
  • Manage rotas and schedules, ensuring sufficient staffing levels and effective team coverage.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clinical and operational standards in line with industry regulations and best practices.
Key Requirements:
  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a valid RCVS membership.
  • Previous experience in a senior RVN role, ideally within a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality veterinary care and developing the team.

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, based on experience.

Professional Memberships: Paid memberships for RCVS, BVA, and VDS.
