An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the professional and personable team at a practice in Crosby, Merseyside. This is a chance to provide exceptional care in a practice that values going beyond basic consultations. The team prioritizes listening to and empathizing with both patients and clients, always ensuring they are put first.
As a qualified veterinary surgeon, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in small animal practice. They will be competent in clinical examination and surgery, and be comfortable working both independently (sole charge) and as part of a collaborative team. The practice offers an opportunity to further develop both medical and surgical skills in a first opinion practice, equipped with up-to-date technology such as ultrasound, digital X-ray (including dental), and Idexx Catalyst.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
- Provide excellent client care, offering clear updates and transparent communication about patient progress.
- Maintain professional excellence by observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
- Prepare accurate and tailored treatment plans for each patient, with clear cost estimates.
- Engage, mentor, and develop the team, enhancing their skills and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Ensure smooth clinical handovers and arrange for patient transfers as needed for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Support and share clinical best practices within the practice and the wider Medivet community.
