An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and welcoming team in Gillingham. The surgery is purpose-built and fully equipped, allowing the team to deliver excellent clinical care. The team consists of 3 vets, 3 nurses, 1 veterinary care assistant, 1 practice manager, and 6 client care advisors.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, including:
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Monitoring anaesthetics and recovery
- Providing nursing care for in-patients
- Running nurse clinics
- Taking radiographs
- Assisting with surgery and diagnostic tests
You will also receive assistance from a Veterinary Care Assistant and a Student Veterinary Nurse to help with theatre turnover and patient preparation.
Our ideal candidate will have good general nursing experience, strong customer service skills, and a cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic attitude, with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
Part-time role: 24 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday) and 1 in 4 Saturdays. No OOH or overnight in-patient checks.
