We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Braintree, Essex. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
Location: Braintree, Essex
Working Hours: This is a full-time role but we are also happy to speak to anyone looking for part-time hours or a job-share type arrangement. Our weekend rota is 1 in 4 and this is the only sole charge you would be required to work. Full time includes working 4 days/week and while we would prefer someone who can work full days we are happy to discuss any other working patterns at interview.
Salary: £65,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
