We are seeking an experienced and confident Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide sole charge cover in the Dorset area. This position offers the opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive practice, with a good balance of consultations and surgical procedures.

Location: Dorset Area

Shifts: 2-3 Days per Week

Role: Sole Charge Mix of Consults and Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations and examinations, diagnosing and treating a range of conditions in small animals.
  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures.
  • Provide sole charge cover, handling a varied caseload independently.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and client communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pet owners on health, treatments, and post-operative care.

Requirements

  • Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
  • Previous experience working in sole charge positions is essential.
