We are looking for a dedicated Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal practice in Blackburn, Lancashire, for a temporary period from 18th November 2024 to 24th January 2025. This role requires working three days per week, providing general consultations, performing routine surgeries, and delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Contract: Temporary (18/11/2024 to 24/01/2025)

Working Hours: 3 days per week

Shift Times: 09:00 - 18:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform consultations, diagnostics, and treatments for small animals.
  • Carry out routine surgeries and monitor post-operative care.
  • Provide clear and supportive communication to clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain excellent standards of care.
  • Keep accurate and detailed medical records.

Requirements

  • MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Previous experience in small animal practice preferred.
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
