We are looking for a dedicated Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal practice in Blackburn, Lancashire, for a temporary period from 18th November 2024 to 24th January 2025. This role requires working three days per week, providing general consultations, performing routine surgeries, and delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Contract: Temporary (18/11/2024 to 24/01/2025)
Working Hours: 3 days per week
Shift Times: 09:00 - 18:00
Key Responsibilities
- Perform consultations, diagnostics, and treatments for small animals.
- Carry out routine surgeries and monitor post-operative care.
- Provide clear and supportive communication to clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain excellent standards of care.
- Keep accurate and detailed medical records.
Requirements
- MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Previous experience in small animal practice preferred.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
