An exciting opportunity has arisen at this practice in Durham for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, professional team on a full-time basis. We are also open to discussing part-time opportunities. This is a chance to develop in schedule 3 procedures, with a competitive salary of up to £30,000.

This practice is based in a brand-new, purpose-designed building, offering everything needed to work in a modern, well-equipped environment. They prioritize work/life balance and foster a supportive team culture, where staff care for each other and work in a judgment-free environment. The Durham team at this practice consists of 5 vets, 5 RVNs, 3 SVNs, and 1 ACA, with 3 vets working each day: 2 consulting and 1 full surgical vet.

About the role:

They are seeking a nurse who wants to bring fresh ideas to the practice and be part of a growing team. The practice has nurses with certificates in anaesthesia, exotics, feline friendly nursing, ECC & Nutrition, and they encourage their nurses to use their skills as much as possible in daily practice. The position is full-time with a rota of 1 in 4-5 Saturdays, alongside another nurse, and no out-of-hours (OOH) work. They are open to part-time applicants and encourage anyone interested to get in touch.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have good experience in veterinary nursing, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. They will also have a systematic approach to decision-making, with strong planning and organizational skills. A friendly, down-to-earth personality, a genuine interest in animal welfare, and enjoyment of variety in their work are also essential qualities.
