Due to continued expansion, Glevum Transport are currently seeking 3 additional new drivers to fulfil their growing contracts. Experience in T&E +11 or Rolfo 11 car transporting is preferred as immediate starts are available. The applicant should preferably have a minimum of 2 years LGV1 CE driving experience to meet the current requirements of our insurance.
This is an LGV/HGV class 1 truck, it carries up to 11 cars. Your duties involve loading the cars onto the back of a transporter, strapping them down, maneuvering the decks to achieve a safe & legal travelling height, and delivering to dealers and ports across the country. If you do not have the required licence please do not apply. It is not a car driving job and requires experience in loading/unloading/strapping etc of an 11 car carrier.
VERY IMPORTANT: This is NOT a suitable position for a new pass due to the nature of the work so please don't apply as we are unable to accept for this role.
We are looking for hard working individuals with an excellent knowledge of the UK road network, who are smart and have a can-do attitude that will represent the company in the correct manner. It is a physical job that requires a reasonable good level of health. The job will involve driving a Volvo FM Ishift with a Transporter Engineering +11 Transporter body.
Recent average wages achieved annually with bonus payments and nights out is £52,000 to £60,000. The truck will be based in Swindon. The applicant should be willing to travel to the yard or live locally. The job involves tramping with 4 nights out every week. Full uniform supplied after probationary period. Company pension scheme also after probationary period complete. Periodic driver CPC training. Immediate starts for 3 drivers available.
