Job description
Based at our facility in Corsham, Wiltshire and reporting to the designated line manager, the Ops and Logistics administrator main responsibilities are as follows:
- Administration support for sales & purchasing
- Accurate processing, managing and routine monitoring of customer orders ensuring timely fulfilment whilst taking a proactive approach to notifying customers of any delays
- Organising and processing of internal customer orders
- The accurate labelling of Dangerous Goods designated products and the provision of any/all associated documentation – subject to receiving the appropriate training
- Communication with customers and collaboration with relevant internal teams e.g. purchasing / sales / warehouse to ensure operations run smoothly
- Liaising with couriers / freight companies to ascertain transport costings and/or the resolution of shipping/customs issues where required
- Customer Service – answering order specific customer enquiries whether telephonically or digitally
- Maintaining accurate records both via the ERP together with manual filing where required
- Assistance with goods in / batch creation as necessary
- Proactive in approach to the recommendation of system improvements
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee our order processing and purchasing teams.
The individual’s main responsibilities will be processing customer orders, tending to the needs of our existing client base and providing orders progress updates, preparing orders for the warehouse and booking shipments with our freight partners.
The individual\\\’s main responsibilities will be focused on the quality assessment of incoming chemical goods
