We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting the wider accounts function. Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match, batch, and code invoices in line with company procedures
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end closing tasks
- Support audits by providing required documentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Xero)
- Understanding of financial regulations and procedures
