We are currently looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Side loader Driver to join our busy timber yard team in Troon. This is a hands-on role involving the movement and handling of timber products, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the yard and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled safely and efficiently.
What Youll Be Doing
- Operating a sideloader forklift to move and store timber and wood products
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
- Handling long, heavy, and awkward loads with care
- Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any faults
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Supporting stock control and general yard operations
What Were Looking For
- Valid sideloader forklift licence (preferred)
- Previous experience in a timber yard, builders merchant, or similar environment (preferred)
- Confident handling of long or bulky materials
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Working Hours
Rotating shifts:
- Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Back Shift: 2:30pm - 11:30pm
Overtime may be available during busy periods.
