Glennon Brothers is a leading timber processor in Ireland and the UK with a strong growth story. Glennon Brothers supplies both Irish and the UK markets with products for the construction, pallet wood and fencing industries as well as wood pellet fuel and renewable electricity. It also manufactures timber frame homes and engineered roof trusses for the house building sector. Glennon Brothers has operations in Longford, Fermoy and Enniskillen in Ireland; Troon, Edinburgh and Inverness in Scotland.

We are currently looking to recruit an Internal Salesperson to join our Internal Sales team based in Troon.

Job Description

Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, the Internal Salesperson will be part of a team who will contribute to the company’s continued growth and investment within the UK and Irish market supplying products for construction, pallet wood and fencing.

Responsibilities

  • Account management/repeat and new business selling over the phone to an established customer base.
  • Working closely with the sales team to achieve agreed targets.
  • Knowledge of working with an ERP system for order processing would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Record all relevant market information into CRM.
  • Co-ordinate sales requirements with the production department.
  • Resolving customer queries and issues.
  • General day to day office administration.

Skills Profile

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy selling, are achievement orientated, and thrive on a challenge. A third level qualification and/or a minimum of 2 years sales experience would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Enthusiasm, energy, a desire to sell, and a desire to develop their long-term career.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a very busy environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The flexibility to travel to different plants as required.
