Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Group Head of Information Systems is the senior technology leader responsible for defining and delivering the Group’s IS/IT strategy across Ireland and the UK. This is a critical Group‑wide leadership role, ensuring that technology platforms, infrastructure, data, cyber security and service delivery enable operational performance, business growth, acquisition integration and long‑term transformation. The role works closely with the Senior Leadership Team and leads internal IT teams and external partners across a multi‑site environment.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Group IS/IT strategy aligned to business priorities and growth plans
- Ensure availability, performance and security of all technology platforms, infrastructure, applications and data
- Lead cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Provide strategic insight to the Senior Leadership Team and Board on technology investment, risk and opportunity
- Lead, develop and inspire internal IS/IT teams, building capability and succession strength
- Establish strong governance, service management and performance reporting
- Own the strategy and optimisation of ERP and core enterprise systems across all sites
- Lead ERP roadmap planning, upgrades and integrations in partnership with Operations, Finance and HR
- Lead IS/IT due diligence and post‑acquisition integration activities
- Manage technology budgets, suppliers and value realisation from investment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior IS/IT leadership role within a complex or multi‑site organisation
- Proven experience developing and delivering enterprise‑level IS/IT strategies
- Strong background in infrastructure, applications, cloud solutions and cyber security
- Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades or major system integrations
- Strong understanding of data integrity, reporting and process standardisation
- Commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendors
